At just 17, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban is proving she can effortlessly move between two very different worlds—high school milestones and high-fashion runways.
Sunday Rose Goes to Prom
Over the weekend, the daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban shared a glimpse into a more traditional teenage moment, attending her prom in a look that felt straight out of a dream.
Posting a photo to Instagram on Sunday, April 19, Sunday Rose kept things simple with the caption, “prom <3,” letting the striking visual speak for itself.
In the image, the Nashville native sits on an outdoor stone staircase wearing a gray and silver strapless gown that leaned fully into ethereal elegance.
The dress featured an intricately detailed bodice adorned with metallic floral appliqués.
The dress also has layers of soft tulle cascaded, that gave the entire look a light, almost magical quality.
She wore her hair down and opted for no jewelry, a styling choice that allowed the gown to remain the focal point.
While prom is a hallmark moment for many teens, Sunday Rose’s life is anything but typical.
Despite still being in high school, she has already begun carving out a space for herself in the fashion industry.
Sunday Rose Has Started to Model
The rising model has walked in shows for major luxury houses like Miu Miu and Dior—a notable feat for someone her age.
Her growing interest in modeling, she says, has been shaped in large part by her upbringing and exposure to the creative world through her mother.
“I definitely gained a lot of interest from those experiences and especially being privileged enough to experience them at a young age,” she told Elle Australia in a recent interview. “My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do.”
Along with inspiration, Nicole Kidman has also passed down practical advice about navigating the industry.
“The biggest piece of industry advice Mum has given to me is to always be on time,” Sunday explained. “There’s always going to be something with an early call time that you don’t want to get up for, but it’s really important to be on time because it shows that you’re prepared and grateful to be there.”
She also credits her mother for teaching her how to embrace the travel-heavy lifestyle that comes with modeling. “I’ve travelled my whole life and my mum is a really good traveler, so she has taught me how to be one, too,” she added, “which makes it so fun to travel and enjoy all the different places.”
As Sunday Rose steps further into the spotlight, it’s clear she’s doing so with both ambition and perspective.
