Driver, two others die as speeding truck loses control, crashes

A fatal truck accident that occurred at the Polo Roundabout in Jos, Plateau State, has resulted in the deaths of the driver and two other individuals.

The truck reportedly lost control, leading to the fatal crash that claimed the three lives.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, confirmed the incident to newsmen.

The command’s Public Education Officer, Peter Longsan, disclosed that the crash occurred at about 2:30am on Monday.

Longsan attributed the accident to loss of control, warning drivers against reckless driving, especially at odd hours when visibility may be poor and fatigue can impair judgment.

He urged motorists to always ensure their vehicles are in good condition before embarking on any journey, while also advising strict adherence to speed limits and traffic regulations.

The FRSC official further cautioned road users to avoid overloading and dangerous driving, stressing that compliance with safety measures remains key to reducing road crashes and saving lives.
