An update has surfaced online concerning a WhatsApp group allegedly set up to discuss singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife Chioma’s marriage, shortly after music executive Ubi Franklin threatened legal action.
GistLover earlier reported that Ubi Franklin, who manages Chioma, took to social media on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, to call out individuals he accused of bullying his client online.
In a post shared on X, Franklin revealed details of what he described as coordinated harassment against Chioma, posting screenshots from a WhatsApp group as evidence to support his claims.
He stated that the actions of those involved went beyond normal celebrity gossip, describing it instead as persistent and targeted online abuse directed at Chioma and the Adeleke family.
Expressing concern over the nature of the messages being shared in private online spaces, Franklin strongly condemned the individuals behind the conversations.
In one of the leaked chats, members of the group, who allegedly identify as supporters of Davido’s first baby mama, Sophia Momodu, expressed preference for the singer to marry her instead of Chioma. One of the messages read:
“Davido will marry real marriage. I pray it be Sophia so they can be truly happy. They both love theirselves. Na plenty forces just dey against them.”
