Military planners from more than 30 countries are meeting in London for two days of talks aimed at advancing a mission to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, according to Reuters.
The discussions, hosted by the UK Ministry of Defence, follow recent diplomatic efforts to secure the waterway.
More than 10 countries have indicated readiness to join a mission led by the United Kingdom and France to protect navigation.
UK Defence Secretary John Healey said, “The task, today and tomorrow, is to translate the diplomatic consensus into a joint plan to safeguard freedom of navigation in the strait and support a lasting ceasefire.”
