SNL Alum Pete Davidson Dropped $200,000 for Massive Change
Pete Davidson dropped a large sum of money to no longer look like the Pete Davidson of the 2010s.
The “Saturday Night Live” alum flashed his tattoo-free arms and hands during a recent appearance in Las Vegas.
Pete Davidson Tattoo Removal
Davidson has been on a mission to remove most of his tattoos since 2020. At one point, his body was nearly covered with approximately 200 tattoos, according to People.
“I got sober and I saw myself in the mirror and I was like, ‘Nah. Who that?’ I was like, ‘I got to change it up a little bit,’” he told Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin during a January 2025 appearance on “Today.” “It’s pretty terrible, so if anybody out there is watching and thinking about getting a tattoo, make sure you really want to get it.”
Davidson sought treatment at a wellness facility in July of 2024, after previously receiving help for issues related to PTSD and borderline personality disorder in 2023, People previously reported.
That same week, the comedian opened up about his decision during an appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.”
“I’ve been burning them off,” he told host Jimmy Fallon, describing the pain as “horrible.”
“It’s worse [than getting them]. They have to burn off a layer of your skin and then it has to heal for, like, six to eight weeks and you can’t get in the sunlight. And then you’ve gotta do it, like, 12 more times,” Davidson explained. “So yeah, really think about that ‘Game of Thrones’ tattoo you’re thinking of getting.”
Pete Davidson’s $200,000 Investment
According to a report from People, Davidson’s years-long endeavor has cost the actor $200,000.
“He just woke up one day and wanted them gone, and it’s been a years-long process,” a source told the outlet in January.
The “King of Staten Island” star appeared at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday, April 15, where he showed off her nearly bare arms under a red t-shirt.
Davidson’s previously inked-up body included tributes to his former loves, Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Cazzie David. He also had random sketches like DoodleBob, a portrait of Ruth Bader Ginsberg wearing a crown, a wolf in a forest of trees and the word “warning,” to name a few.
During his chat with Fallon in January 2025, the new father (Davidson shares 4-month-old daughter Scottie with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt) revealed that he might keep “two or three” of his tattoos.
I’m trying to clean slate it,” he said. “Trying to be an adult.”
