Nigerian artist Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has opened up on her struggles with her self esteem, revealing that meeting Rihanna helped boost her confidence.
While speaking in a recent interview with W Magazine, Ayra Starr revealed that she was struggling with low self-esteem in 2024 before meeting with the global star.
The 23-year-old disclosed that Rihanna spoke about her favourite parts of Ayra’s music videos while they watched them together, adding that she expressed her openness to a collaboration.
”I was sitting with her while we watched my music videos. The fact that she was pointing out her favourite parts felt so unreal…At that time I was struggling with my self-image and confidence, so that moment meant everything.” God had sent her. It was one of the most amazing feelings,” she said.
