The member representing Askira-Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency in Borno state, Hon. Dr. Midala Usman Balami, Thursday expressed sympathies to the families of 11 people, including four vigilantes killed in last Tuesday’s Boko Haram invasion in Pubagu village of Askira-Uba local government area.
He also commiserated with the families of those who lost their lives in the last week deadly Boko Haram attacks in Lehu, Mussa ward of Askira-Uba, Kwajjaffa Harang in Hawul LGA and other villages in his constituency.
The executive chairman of Askira/Uba local government area, Hon. Mada Saidu, visited Pubagu village in Rumirgo Ward, where he expressed shock over the resurgence of terrorist attacks in his area.
Reacting to the ugly incident, the federal lawmaker urged government and security agencies to intensify efforts in protecting lives and property of the citizenry.
He said apart from the innocent loss of lives in his constituency, almost on daily basis, many people were also abducted and remained in Boko Haram captivity without rescue.
“It is very unfortunate that Boko Haram terrorists are wrecking havoc almost on daily basis in my constituency without confrontation,” he said.
