Cameroon will host the third window of the African qualifiers for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027.
The announcement was made by FIBA Africa after its meeting in Abidjan on April 15, 2026.
The games are scheduled for July 2 to July 5, 2026, with Cameroon staging the Group A matches.
The group features Cape Verde, Libya, South Sudan, alongside the host nation.
This development further strengthens Cameroon’s reputation as a growing hub for major sporting events in Africa.
Elsewhere, Senegal will host Group B fixtures involving Côte d’Ivoire and Democratic Republic of the Congo, while Angola will take charge of matches in Groups C and D.
The upcoming window follows earlier qualifiers held in Alexandria and Dakar, with FIBA expected to announce hosts for the fourth window after May 15, 2026.
