The middle-aged man caught on camera beating female police officers who stopped him at a checkpoint in Ido, Osun state, has been apprehended.
A video showing the man using a piece of wood to assault the women at the checkpoint, went viral a few days ago. He also resisted some men in the area who tried to stop him from assaulting the police officers.
Parading the suspect before newsmen, the State Commissioner of Police said the suspect was apprehended in Edo state where he fled to after committing the crime.
