The United States has strongly condemned the “Gaza flotilla” of ships carrying humanitarian aid to the occupied enclave, calling it a “stunt” after activists were captured by Israeli forces in international waters.
“The United States condemns the flotilla, a pro-Hamas initiative that constitutes an unfounded and counterproductive attempt to undermine President Trump’s peace plan” for the Gaza Strip, State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said in a statement on Thursday.
Pigott added that US-allied countries should take “decisive action” against the group to block them from sailing ships from their territory.
