Six anti-Israel activists were charged for using a van to ram down a Leicestershire drone factory gate and causing destruction to the facility, the Leicestershire Police announced on Saturday evening.
Peter Jones, Michael Sackur, Megan Kennard, Seirol Davies, Rhae Rivers, and Hal Hockney were each charged with a count of burglary and count of causing criminal damage for their Friday attack on the Tactical Unmanned Air Systems factory just outside of Braunstone.
Counter Terrorism Police are reportedly leading the investigation into the incident which allegedly saw vandals ram the manufacturer’s gate before dawn.
The group People Against Genocide took responsibility for the incident, uploading a video on Friday of the vandals cutting and tearing into the roof so that they could “damage the inside whilst continuing to occupy the site.”
PAG said on Instagram that it had attacked the facility because they believed it to be “wholly owned” by Israeli defense firm Elbit Systems.
According to Globes, the company is a joint venture between Elbit and Thales UK.
