The federal government is launching the “every little bit helps” campaign to guide Australians through the fuel crisis as price and supply pressures continue to weigh on households.
The ads will play across television, digital and outdoor advertising sites such as billboards and posters from Monday providing Aussies with information on how to play your part during the crisis caused by the Middle East war.
It details actions that can be taken during the global fuel shortage. This includes using the car less and ways to improve fuel efficiency like driving smoothly or unloading excess weight.

Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government Catherine King said the campaign will communicate the government’s plan to the public.
“The global fuel shortage is affecting us all and every little bit helps. From running errands in fewer trips to only filling up with the fuel you need, this will help us keep essential services moving,” she said.
“The rollout of this campaign and National Fuel Security Plan ensures that we can get the public the information they need, and keep them updated if and when the situation may change.”
The campaign comes after national cabinet came together and implemented the National Fuel Security Plan with four levels to guide Australia through the fuel crisis.
According to the government, Australia is currently at level two which is about keeping the country moving and laying the groundwork to help people understand what to do now as fuel supplies hold up.
The government said level two also “signals that instructions will be communicated if and when we move to future levels”.
