A Hezbollah lawmaker said the group will break the “yellow line” established by Israel in southern Lebanon, despite a 10-day ceasefire.

Hassan Fadlallah told AFP that “this ‘yellow line’, we will break it through resistance, by asserting our legitimate right to defend ourselves and defend our country.”

Israel has said the zone was created to protect communities in northern Israel, similar to measures in the Gaza Strip.

Fadlallah rejected calls to disarm Hezbollah, saying, “When there is an occupation, one cannot speak of a monopoly on weapons by the resistance.”
