Veteran Nollywood actor Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, has graduated from the National Open University of Nigeria with a Bachelor of Science degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.

The actor announced the milestone on Saturday via his Instagram page.

“Today, I am proud to be conferred with a BSc in Peace and Conflict Resolution. Done and dusted,” he wrote.

Amusan, who also serves as President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria, credited divine help for the achievement.

“To God be all the glory. Thank you, Lord, for the successful convocation,” the statement read.

He also extended appreciation to those around him.

“My sincere appreciation to my family, friends, and well-wishers for your love and support,” the statement added.

The comic actor enrolled at NOUN in 2017 after more than 20 years away from formal education, having been unable to proceed to university after secondary school due to financial constraints.

Born in Gbongan, Osun State, Amusan began his acting career in 1988 and became a comedian in 1991.

He acquired the stage name Mr Latin after speaking French on set during the 1992 film 50-50, which a producer mistook for Latin.
