‘Why I cohabited with my husband before marriage,’ Kiekie

Nollywood actress and skit maker Oluwabukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as KieKie, has opened up on the reason behind her move to cohabit with her husband before they tied the knot.

The actress and content creator, while speaking during an interview with Toke Makinwa, revealed that her decision was based on practicality. She explained that as at the time they move in together, they had already completed their traditional rites and were already preparing for the white wedding.

Kiekie further revealed that her rent had expired as at that time and she decided to move in with her husband rather than renew her lease.

“Before my husband and I got married, we lived together for about four months. My rent had expired, and we were getting married in January, so I said to myself, ‘Why pay another rent?’ People might judge it, but I wasn’t going to waste money. We’d already done our introduction. The church didn’t know about it, and I used to sing in church that time,” she remarked.
