Sokoto FCOE matriculates 342 students

The Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi, in Sokoto state, had Thursday matriculated 342 students for 2026 academic session.

Speaking during the matriculation’s ceremony held at the premises of the college in Gidan Madi headquarters of Tangaza local government, Provost of the college, Dr Malami Muhammad, warned students against examination malpractice as the institution has zero tolerance of such offences

“This college has zero tolerance for exam malpractice, immorality, indecency, as well as other social vices in campus, if you are found guilty of any of these vices, you will be suspended or expelled.

“You have come here to study and prepare yourself for a greater tomorrow, pay serious attention to why you are here.

“We extol obedience, sincerity, humility, perseverance and hard work. You are to be guided by these attributes as professional teachers in the making,” the provost stated.

Dr. Muhammad further said the matriculated students were admitted into the two schools of Science, Education and Vocational, Technical Education. 

He expressed hope to establish additional schools such as school of Social Sciences and Arts in order to admit more students. 

He commended President Bola Tinubu for his support to the college, which, he said, had led to improved academic activities, admission quota and course accreditations.
