Police arrest man with human parts in Ondo

 Police have arrested 29-year-old man in Ile Oluji area of Ondo state in possession of suspected human remains and  ammunition.

The Ondo state Police command under the stewardship of CP Adebowale Lawal, inform the general public of the arrest of a suspect in connection with a case of stealing, alongside the recovery of items of investigative concern in Ile-Oluji area of Ondo state.

On the 11th of April, 2026, operatives of the command apprehended one Awomehinde Tope ‘M’, aged 29 years, following allegations of theft reported against him.

The suspect was alleged to have unlawfully taken several items belonging to his father, one Awomehinde Kehinde. The stolen items include three Boxer Bajaj motorcycles, nine goats, quantities of palm oil, four Android phones, two gas cylinders, gold items, and rug carpets.

Further investigation led to the discovery that one of the stolen rug carpets had been sold to one Olawale Sunday ‘M’. Acting on credible intelligence, a thorough search was conducted at the suspect’s residence, during which officers recovered items suspected to be of ritualistic and criminal significance.
