According to the new directive, residents are now required to observe a curfew from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. daily, beginning Wednesday, April 15, 2026. This marks another step toward restoring normalcy after recent disturbances in the area.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Ramnap, disclosed that the adjustment followed a thorough review conducted in collaboration with security agencies.
She explained that the decision reflects growing confidence among authorities that the situation has stabilized sufficiently to allow for extended movement during the day, while still maintaining precautionary restrictions at night.
