NSCDC Rewards Lagos Officers After Baby Factory Bust in Badagry
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, has commended and rewarded officers for outstanding performance, including the successful busting of an illegal baby factory in Badagry.
The Lagos State Commandant, Mr. Adedotun Keshinro, gave the commendation during a strategic training forum for Area Commanders and Divisional Officers held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Lagos.
Keshinro, who acted in line with the Corps’ tradition under the leadership of the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, praised officers for demonstrating professionalism, discipline, and commitment in the discharge of their duties.
At the event, the Commandant presented a formal letter of recommendation to the Divisional Officer in Badagry, CSC Gbenga Ekunola, in recognition of his exceptional performance in crime prevention and intelligence-led operations.
The commendation followed a major operational breakthrough by the command, which led to the discovery and dismantling of a baby factory in Badagry.
According to Keshinro, the success of the operation was made possible through effective community engagement, teamwork, and the deployment of credible and actionable intelligence by operatives under Ekunola’s leadership.
The Commandant also acknowledged the efforts of several Area Commanders and Divisional Officers, including those in Area C, Ojo, Ojokoro, Amuwo, Olorunda, Ikosi-Ejirin, and Ijegun, for notable achievements in prosecution, infrastructure development, and operational efficiency.
He noted that some formations had secured new office buildings and operational vehicles, enhancing their capacity to deliver on the Corps’ mandate.
Keshinro urged officers across all formations to remain dedicated and fearless in carrying out their responsibilities, assuring them that hard work and integrity would continue to be recognised.
“Officers must remain resolute and passionate in the pursuit of the Corps’ mandate without fear of intimidation. Their good work will always speak for them,” he said.
The training forum, according to the Commandant, was designed to deepen operational knowledge and reinforce the strategic objectives of the Corps in safeguarding lives and critical national assets.
The development underscores the NSCDC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen internal capacity while promoting accountability and excellence among its personnel.
