US President Donald Trump’s job approval rating has fallen to 37%, a second-term low, according to a poll released by NBC News.
The survey found 63% of US adults disapprove of his performance, including 50% who said they strongly disapprove, with views driven in part by his handling of the war with Iran.
The poll said 33% of respondents approved of Trump’s handling of the war, while 67% disapproved, reflecting a sharp partisan divide.
It found 82% of Democrats and independents disapproved, compared with 74% of Republicans who approved.
Opposition was higher among younger people, with 74% of those under 30 saying the US should not take further military action in Iran.
