A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, popularly known as Don Lulu, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, calling for greater inclusion of young people in leadership.
Igbokwe, the State Director City Boy Movement (CBM) Abia State Chapter made the declaration amid ongoing political realignments within the APC, positioning his ambition as part of a broader push for generational change and grassroots-driven representation.
With the rallying call, “Give youths a chance,” the aspirant urged party leaders and stakeholders to open the political space to younger, capable individuals with proven records of service and community impact.
He noted that his decision to join the race was informed by consultations and growing demand for more responsive and result-oriented representation in the constituency.
