The Nigeria international had been a fitness concern after missing the club’s last two matches due to an injury sustained during the Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad.
Initial fears of a serious issue were later downgraded to minor discomfort, although he was placed on an individual training programme as a precaution.
Return to full training
Lookman’s status has now improved significantly after he rejoined full team training on Monday, according to reports from Marca.
His reintegration into group sessions is seen internally as confirmation that he will be fit for selection.
The forward’s return comes after he missed recent fixtures against Elche and Athletic Bilbao, raising doubts over his availability for the high-stakes European tie.

Lookman has been a key contributor since joining Atletico from Atalanta in January, registering seven goals and four assists in 18 appearances. His availability strengthens Atletico’s attacking options as they prepare for a crucial encounter.
The Spanish side will be seeking a stronger showing after suffering a 4-0 defeat to Arsenal earlier in the competition.
