The chairman of Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state, Mr Peter Tanko Dogara, Wednesday led some members of the Majalisan Falke community on a solidarity visit to Professor Sunday Agang who was recently freed by kidnappers.
The visit, held at his residence, in Gada Biyu Jos, headquarters of Plateau state was marked by prayers of thanksgiving for his safe return and intercession for others still in captivity.
Identifying with the professor during the visit, Tanko thanked Almighty God for his mercies and for being there for all.
The chairman stated that the Majalisan Falke community is one body that has every member at heart and whatever happens to any member concerns the rest.
He said the news came as a shock to all members, thanking God for his safety and asking for divine protection so that it will not happen to anybody again, owing to the fact that some victims did not survive the plight.
He called for collective prayers for the infamous challenge bedeviling the communities because according to him, it is the only weapon that can reduce the situation to the barest minimum.
Earlier in a keen address, the Secretary of Majalisan Falke community, Reverend David Nashe Ajeyet, commended the chairman of Jema’a for sponsoring the visit and described the chairman as one of the best things that has ever happened to the local government.
Comparing Peter Tanko Dogara to the late governor of Kaduna state, Sir, Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, Rev Ajeyet prayed to God to bless the chairman and open more doors for him to continue his presentation of the face of quality leadership style to the people.
The reverend informed Professor Agang that he is a man of the people whose abduction shakes the entire communities into fasting and prayers until his release.
He quoted Psalm 23:4 that read: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.”
