Israeli attacks have killed three people in southern Lebanon, in the latest violence despite a 10-day truce between Israel and Hezbollah.
Lebanon’s health ministry said “an Israeli airstrike on the Shoukine road in the Nabatieh district” killed three people. A separate strike on the village of Yater wounded two others, including a child.
The escalation comes just hours before a second round of talks between Lebanese and Israeli representatives in Washington, mediated by the US.
Beirut is expected to push for an extension of the ceasefire, even as Israeli strikes continue to hit areas far beyond the border zone.
