A Nigerian lady has sparked online reactions after narrating an unusual encounter involving a teenage boy who expressed romantic interest in her.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @thebeninblogger, she explained that a 19-year-old boy approached her and openly confessed his feelings, leaving her shocked.
According to her, the young man said, “Mama, I like you,” and further added, “Mama, be calming down, I will take care of you and handle you well,” a statement she found surprising given his age.
Visibly taken aback, she described the experience as alarming and questioned the level of discipline and upbringing among today’s youths.
She also wondered if parents are still actively guiding their children properly, expressing concern over the teenager’s confidence and behaviour.
“Is it that parents are not doing their jobs? Or are fathers and mothers not doing their jobs well?” she asked, noting her disbelief at how bold the young man was.
