‘Gossip Girl’ Stars Reunite 14 Years Later at Los Angeles Dinner
Nate and Blair are back together, XOXO GOSSIP GIRL!!!!
Chace Crawford, 40, and Leighton Meester, 40, reunited Thursday, April 23 at a Falconeri Dinner at Getty House in Los Angeles, reported by People.
The Italian brand was celebrating its Ultrafine Cashmere Collection. This comes 19 years after they first played Nate Archibald and Blair Waldorf.
The CW Network’s “Gossip Girl” ran six seasons, from 2007 to 2012. It made both actors into household names before they parted ways.
Crawford brought his girlfriend, model Kelsey Merritt, 28. The trio smiled through poolside photos that spread fast online. Both actors are deep into strong career runs right now.
This reunion happened at a Beyoncé concert last summer.
Crawford and Meester Reconnected Over Beyoncé Concert and Breakfast
It started with a surprise. Crawford told People magazine in June 2025 that he and Meester ran into each other at a Beyoncé concert.
“I ended up at a Beyoncé concert, don’t ask me how, but I was there with someone and [Leighton] ended up sitting right next to me,” Crawford told People.
“She’s like, ‘What are you doing here?’ It was so loud. I was like, ‘Look, we’re going to lunch or something. We’ve got to actually catch up properly.’”
Two days later, they had a late breakfast lasting three hours.
“You realize as you get older, oh my God, these people were such a specific relationship,” Crawford told People. “We went through this crazy thing together. It’s a special thing in life to be able to reconnect.”
Their bond goes back to a Burbank audition. Crawford recalled first meeting Meester in February 2022 on the “XOXO with Jessica Szohr”
“They let me into this massive waiting room, and there was this one girl in this chair at the very end, with her back to me,” Crawford said on podcast.
“She turns around, headband on, it’s Leighton. We kind of had an instant friendship connection. Easy to talk to.”
Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford Life After Gossip Girl
Crawford broke his post-“Gossip Girl” typecasting through “The Boys.” He told Variety’s “Good Guys” podcast in June 2025 that the years after the show were hard.
“I felt like I was in the wilderness for years after ‘Gossip Girl,’” Crawford said.
“I’m in this jail of the CW pretty boy who has no range.”
“The Boys” Season 5, his final run as The Deep, is expected in 2026. In September 2025, Deadline confirmed Crawford joined Dan Fogelman’s untitled Hulu NFL drama. He plays the team’s general manager alongside Christopher Meloni, William H. Macy and Mandy Moore.
Meester’s run is just as strong. In 2025, she starred in Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This” Season 2 opposite husband Adam Brody. She also led “I Love LA,” directed by Rachel Sennott. Her film “Basic,” co-starring Ashley Park, screened at SXSW in March 2026. A Netflix Christmas rom-com, “Guarding Stars,” with Jared Padalecki and Andie MacDowell, is coming next.
Brody told People that having Meester on set was simple. “Driving to work together and getting a little alone time,” he said. “It’s sort of a date night.”
Meester told Parade on April 23 that turning 40 felt right. “Being 40, it’s a good, solid number,” she said. “I feel gorgeous and vibrant and strong and healthy and grateful and surrounded by love.”
She added: “I just reject the notion that an age is part of someone’s value. It has nothing to do with it.”
