A former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday visited the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, insisting that the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, was bent on removing him.

Both Makinde and Oba Ladoja had earlier disputed the claim of moves to remove the monarch and impeachment of the governor.

Speaking with newsmen during the visit in which he had a closed door meeting with Ladoja, Fayose said things are becoming clearer by the day that his position is right.

He told newsmen that the revelation by the Oyo State House of Assembly that the revered monarch was among those plotting the impeachment of Monarch was not only absurd but a justification to remove Ladoja.

He added that most former governors of Oyo State had always misbehaved towards the end of their tenure.

Before he went into the closed door meeting, Fayose had told newsmen that he was in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to “identify with the traditional institution”.

He said that the truth about the planned removal of Ladoja “will soon be revealed”.
