The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Fatai, on Thursday visited the ongoing 2025 Police Constable Recruitment Screening Centre in Police College, Ikeja, to assess the exercise and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
The screening exercise, which commenced on Monday, March 9, 2026, is being conducted at the Police College, Ikeja in line with established procedures.
During the visit, the Commissioner met with delegates from the Police Service Commission (PSC), the Federal Character Commission (FCC), and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Lagos State Command, who are on the ground to observe and ensure transparency, fairness, and credibility of the recruitment process.
The Commissioner of Police noted that the exercise aligns with the vision and directives of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, towards entrenching a transparent, credible, and merit-based recruitment process in the Nigeria Police Force.
CP Tijani Fatai expressed satisfaction with the level of organisation and coordination at the screening centre, commending the officials and partner agencies for their professionalism and commitment to due process. He used the opportunity to call on all applicants who are yet to appear for the screening exercise to avail themselves of the opportunity before the exercise closes on Saturday, 18th April, 2026. He emphasised that failure to participate within the stipulated period may lead to disqualification.
He further reassured members of the public of the Command’s commitment to maintaining transparency and fairness throughout the recruitment exercise.
