From Brunswick to Brand Builder

A breast cancer survivor, author, and serial entrepreneur,  Shashicka Tyre-Riley has spent the better part of two decades building businesses — and rebuilding herself along the way.

When Shashicka Tyre-Riley founded Miracle Home Care, Inc. in Brunswick, Georgia, she was not working from a business plan drafted in a corner office.

She was a young mother who had dropped out of school in the ninth grade, later returning to earn her GED before obtaining her home health care license at the age of 21 — the youngest person in the country to do so at the time.

She was operating with little more than determination and a clear-eyed understanding of a gap in her community’s healthcare options.

The company, which provided in-home care services to Medicaid recipients, eventually grew to seven locations across the southeastern United States — a trajectory that drew both media attention and, ultimately, legal scrutiny.

She built her professional life not once, but several times — each venture a response to a different chapter of her personal story.

By the time the settlement was reached, Tyre-Riley had already pivoted. In 2015, she launched Miracle Trim Waist, a weight loss and body-shaping product line. The timing was deliberate.

Having navigated a health crisis of her own — she is a breast cancer survivor — Tyre-Riley had become sharply focused on wellness as both a personal and commercial pursuit.

In 2018, she extended that focus into hair care with the launch of Miracle Mink Hair, an organic brand offering growth products and wigs. The connection to her own experience was explicit: hair loss during cancer treatment had left a mark, and the brand was, in part, an answer to it.

Miracle Mink Hair found an audience among women seeking alternatives rooted in natural ingredients, and the brand grew steadily through direct-to-consumer sales and social media.

In 2023, Tyre-Riley added another company to her portfolio. Natural Blessings, launched in 2023, is a wellness and beauty brand that continues to operate and expand. The launch signals that, at a point when many entrepreneurs might consolidate, Tyre-Riley remains in a building phase.

Her output as an author runs parallel to her business activity. Tyre-Riley has written four books, spanning memoir, professional coaching, and spiritual reflection. The earliest, Blessings &Miracles, published in 2013, drew directly from her biography.

The subsequent titles — Miracles of Success, The Testimony, and The Testimony Journal— extended that voice into more structured frameworks for readers navigating adversity or professional ambition.

She has also built a parallel career as a motivational speaker and business coach, roles that place her biography front and center as both curriculum and credential. In 2021, she launched the Faith Over Fear Tour, a national speaking tour that travels across the country — opening in Columbia, SC and closing in Orlando, FL — in which she shares her personal journey of overcoming adversity.

The audience for that work is largely women, particularly those navigating entrepreneurship without conventional advantages of capital, education, or professional networks.

Personal Life

In 2023, Tyre-Riley married Terry Savalas Riley, taking the surname that now appears alongside her own. It is the kind of personal detail that, in another profile, might serve as a tidy closing note. For Tyre-Riley, it reads more like a data point in a longer sequence — one more change in a life that has never stayed still for long.
