In a statement signed by its National Secretary, Mukhtar Abdallah, the party said its name and logo were used without permission. It described the act as political impersonation and not a mistake.
The meeting reportedly involved members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other groups.
After the meeting, they said they had agreed to back one candidate to challenge President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
However, the Accord Party, led by Professor Chris Imumolen, said it is not part of any alliance or coalition with those groups. It insisted it never approved the use of its identity at the meeting.
The party stressed that it remains focused on the 2027 elections and plans to field its own presidential candidate.
It also gave the organisers of the meeting 48 hours to explain why its name was used. It warned that it may take legal action if there is no response.
According to the party, it will not allow its name or platform to be used for political purposes without permission and will defend its independence.
