Prosecutors have revealed that US singer D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, was in possession of “a significant amount” of child sex abuse images when he was arrested in connection with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
The disturbing new allegations were disclosed in a recent court hearing, where authorities confirmed that the images were found on Burke’s phone and iCloud account during the investigation into the teen’s death.
The new information comes as part of a broader inquiry following the discovery of Rivas Hernandez’s dismembered body in Burke’s Tesla in September 2025.
Authorities have been investigating how the teenager ended up in the singer’s car and are now claiming that Burke sexually abused Rivas Hernandez before ultimately murdering her, in a bid to protect his career.
The singer, known for viral hits such as Romantic Homicide and Here With Me, has pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child, and mutilation of remains.
Burke’s defence team maintains that they will “vigorously defend” him, asserting that the evidence will ultimately exonerate him. As of now, Burke has not been charged with any criminal offences related to the abuse images, though investigations into the material continue.
In September 2025, police discovered Rivas Hernandez’s body after receiving reports of a foul odour emanating from Burke’s vehicle. The teen had been missing for five months, with authorities piecing together her last known whereabouts at Burke’s Hollywood Hills home. Burke, who was on tour at the time of the discovery, has since withdrawn from public life, with his global tour cancelled following his arrest.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed seven criminal charges against Burke, including murder and continuous sexual abuse. While there has been no indictment from a grand jury, the district attorney’s office has confirmed they are in possession of substantial forensic evidence.
The family of Celeste Rivas Hernandez has continued to call for justice, expressing their grief over the loss of their daughter. “Celeste was a beautiful, strong girl who loved to sing and dance,” her parents, Jesus Rivas and Mercedes Martinez, said in a statement. “We miss her deeply.
