‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ Emily Blunt Dishes on Sharing the Screen With Her Brother-in-Law Stanley Tucci

On the red carpet, Emily Blunt dished on what it was really like working with her brother-in-law on such a special project.
Emily Blunt & Stanley Tucci Wanted More Scenes Together
On the night of April 20, 2026, the iconic cast attended “The Devil Wears Prada 2” premiere in New York City. Photos from the night reveal the stars posing in striking formal wear. Of course, everyone wanted to catch up with the cast and ask their thoughts on the film.
E! News caught up with Emily Blunt on the red carpet to discuss the sequel and what it’s really like working with her brother-in-law on set.
Stanley Tucci’s first wife, Kathryn, tragically passed away after a battle with breast cancer. In 2010, he attended Emily Blunt’s wedding to John Krasinski. There, he met Emily’s sister, Felicity. They quickly fell in love and married in 2012.
Today, they’re one big happy family.
“You and Stanley, you guys are family, you’re in-laws, how does that translate on camera this time around?” the E! reporter asks.
“I mean Stan and I, we’re so angry that they didn’t give us more to do together,” Emily Blunt replied, jokingly rolling her eyes. “But next time. If we do another one, they better have us joined at the hip. But I think we know each other so well, the few moments we have together, whenever they would cut, Stan would be like, ‘You’re shameless. Shameless.’ Which is probably how much I was overacting.”
Anne Hathaway Jokes Stanley Tucci is the “Biggest Diva”
In the E! News interview, Emily Blunt recalled that Stanley Tucci would always call her “shameless” for breaking character. But in an interview with Stephen Colbert, Anne Hathaway pointed fingers at Tucci and revealed he’s actually the “biggest diva” out of the entire cast.
“Oh he’s just, he’s so fussy about his clothes!” the actress laughed in the interview. She also added that despite Stanley Tucci’s love of cooking and their decades-long friendship, he’s never offered to cook for her.
But in spite of the teasing, there’s a lot of love and heart that went into the making of “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”
“I kind of anticipated people were gonna love the movie,” Anne Hathaway revealed. “But what its been and what its become and this 20 year relationship that I get to have with the movie from the making of it.”
