The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced its timetable for primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) shared this information in a statement by its spokesperson, Dr. Ejimofor Opara.

According to the statement, the timetable follows the schedule released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2027 elections.

APGA said the sale and submission of expression of interest forms will take place from April 20 to May 8.

Screening of aspirants will happen on different dates:

National Assembly candidates – May 11

State House of Assembly candidates – May 12

Governorship candidates – May 13

The party also explained that aspirants must first buy expression of interest forms and pass screening before they can purchase nomination forms.

The sale and submission of nomination forms will run from May 14 to May 21.

Fees for the expression of interest forms are:

President – N25 million

Senate – N6 million

House of Representatives – N4 million

Governor – N10 million

State House of Assembly – N2 million

All primary elections will be held on May 23, 2026, using the Option A4 voting method.

Any complaints from the primaries will be handled on May 28, 2026.
