The result lifts Forest five points clear of the relegation zone, easing pressure on the side during a decisive phase of the season.
Gibbs-White drives comeback win
Forest were forced to respond after Zian Flemming gave Burnley the lead in first-half stoppage time.
However, Morgan Gibbs-White transformed the contest after the break, scoring twice in quick succession to put the hosts ahead before completing his first career hat-trick with a looping header from Ryan Yates’ cross.
Substitute Igor Jesus added a fourth in stoppage time to secure a convincing win at the City Ground.
Aina part of defensive resilience
Aina featured as Forest recovered from a difficult first-half performance, showing improved organisation after the interval despite losing defender Murillo to injury.
The victory extended their unbeaten run to seven matches in all competitions.
Relegation battle tilts in Forest’s favour
The win leaves Burnley second from bottom and 12 points from safety with five games remaining, placing them on the brink of relegation.
Forest’s result also increases pressure on Tottenham Hotspur, who remain in the bottom three following their draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
