The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16, will be released before midnight.
The disclosure was made by JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, who confirmed that the first batch of results would be made available to candidates within hours.
“This is to inform all candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME on Thursday, 16th April 2026, that their results will be released today before midnight,” he said.
Benjamin added that an official announcement would be issued once the results are fully uploaded and accessible to candidates.
The early release marks the commencement of the board’s phased publication of results for the nationwide examination, which is a critical requirement for admission into tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Candidates are expected to access their results through JAMB’s designated channels once the process is completed.
The board has in recent years adopted a more streamlined system for processing and releasing UTME results, significantly reducing waiting time and enhancing transparency in the examination process.
The 2026 UTME is being conducted across accredited centres nationwide, with thousands of candidates participating in the computer-based examination.
