The Police Service Commission has fixed April 28 to 30, 2026, for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test for candidates in the ongoing police recruitment exercise.
The test will be conducted across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, following the nationwide physical and credentials screening scheduled to end on April 18.
In a statement issued by the Sokoto State Police Command on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Rufa’i, said the aptitude test is a key stage in the recruitment process.
He said: “The Computer-Based Aptitude Test is a critical phase designed to ensure that only suitably qualified candidates are recruited into the Nigeria Police Force.”
He explained that the duration of the exercise would vary across states.

Rufa’i said: “The scheduling is flexible to accommodate operational realities across states, but every eligible candidate will be given a fair opportunity to participate.”
He urged applicants to await further details on venues and shortlisted candidates.
He said: “Candidates are advised to remain patient and rely only on information from official channels.
“Details of venues and shortlisted candidates will be communicated in due course.”
The police also warned against misinformation, noting that updates would only be released through verified platforms.
The recruitment exercise is part of efforts to strengthen the manpower and operational capacity of the police.
