Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has cautioned supporters to desist from assaults in opposition to Labour Celebration presidential candidate Peter Obi and himself, saying such actions weaken opposition unity.
In a publish on his X deal with on Tuesday, Atiku stated people who assault both Obi or himself “shouldn’t have the perfect pursuits of the leaders, the coalition underneath the African Democratic Congress (ADC), or the nation at coronary heart”.
He argued that inside rifts solely play into the arms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which he accused of thriving on divisions throughout the opposition.
“The one individuals who profit from such a civil struggle are the APC city bandits who need to preserve the satanic established order,” Atiku wrote.
The previous vice chairman emphasised the significance of solidarity amongst opposition leaders and their supporters.
“We’re higher collectively,” he stated, renewing his name for unity forward of future political engagements.
