The Managing Director and Chief Govt Officer of New Edo Line Transport Providers Ltd, Tinyan Otuomagie, has been sacked.
Edo State Commissioner for Transport, Saturday Idehen, disclosed the event in a press release on Thursday.
Idehen stated Good Aigbodion, Normal Supervisor for Upkeep on the firm, has been appointed Performing Managing Director and Chief Govt Officer pending the appointment of a substantive head.
He stated Governor Monday Okpebholo directed that Otuomagie be redeployed to the ministry of knowledge for different assignments as could also be decided.
In July 2025, Okpebholo commissioned the New Edo Line which was formally flagged of by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Okpebholo stated on the occassion: “The New Edo Line is greater than only a fleet of luxurious buses, it’s a clear sign that Edo is transferring ahead. It addresses the wants of our individuals — college students, merchants, staff, and vacationers — by restoring security, order, and pleasure in public transport.
