There’s no doubt that Reese Witherspoon is a busy lady with a jam-packed calendar thanks to her super successful status in the entertainment industry. At the same time, she is still sure to make room in her schedule for her boyfriend, Oliver Haarmann.
For instance, although Witherspoon and Haarmann are rarely seen out in public together, the pair were recently spotted enjoying a day out on the town with each other in New York City.
Witherspoon and Haarmann appeared to be taking advantage of some free time by spending a casual day together in NYC. Although we don’t know how they spent the rest of their time off, we do know that they hit up some shops and — judging by the bags they were carrying — made a few purchases.
“Things are still going strong between Reese Witherspoon and her boyfriend, Searchlight Capital Partners founding partner Oliver Haarmann, who went shopping together in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood on Saturday,” according to the Daily Mail.
“The 50-year-old Oscar winner — who wore blue jeans with a black quilted bomber — smiled as she led the 58-year-old German financier towards their waiting car,” the Mail also noted.
The Couple Was First Spotted Together in 2024
Witherspoon — who was previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe from 1999 to 2007 and former talent agent Jim Toth from 2011 to 2023 — was first seen with Haarmann “in July 2024, when they arrived via helicopter in New York City together, and then later while dining at L’Artusi,” according to People.
While one insider told People at the time that Witherspoon and Haarmann were “friends,” another source noted that they were “taking things slow when it comes to dating,” while adding, “She enjoys it but doesn’t want it to be a big focus. She’s busy with work and her son. These are her biggest priorities.”
In September of that same year, sources confirmed to People that the two had taken their relationship to the next level and were exploring things romantically.
Over the next while, sources told People that Witherspoon was in “such a good place” and “having fun” with Haarmann. One insider explained, “Her relationship with Oliver is very special to her. He’s not interested in the Hollywood spotlight. He’s there for her.”
Adding that Haarmann is “very supportive” of Witherspoon, the source noted, “Everything is balanced, and it makes her very happy.”
