A support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the aiges of APC Plateau State Forum Abuja (APSFA) has rallied members of the party who are indigenes of Plateau state in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Forum also urged Nigerians to support the re-election bid of the President in 2027.
Addressing a press conference Wednesday in Abuja, Chairman of the Forum, Hon Yakubu Pam Gam Sakondong JP, thanked the leadership of APC for electing Prof Nentawe Yilwatda as the party’s National Chairman.
According to him, this decision reflects fairness, recognition of the zone and the state’s contribution to the party.
He also expressed appreciation to the APC NEC for its thoughtful decision to zone the position of the National Chairman of the party to the North Central geopolitical zone and specifically micro-zoning it to Plateau State ahead of the forthcoming APC National Convention scheduled for 27th–28th March 2026.
“We also wish to commend the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for the historic victory recorded by the APC in the just concluded FCT Area Councils elections held on 21st February 2026. For the first time in history, the APC secured victory in five out of the six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This achievement is a clear indication of renewed confidence of FCT citizens on the leadership and direction of the party.
“We equally acknowledge and appreciate the active role played by Chief Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, whose commitment and collaboration significantly contributed to the success of the APC in FCT Area Councils elections.
“We therefore congratulate all the newly elected Chairmen and Councillors across the FCT Area Councils and wish them a productive and successful tenure as they serve the people.
“As we approach the 2027 elections, APSFA unequivocally ENDORSED President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria and Governor Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of PLATEAU STATE for their second terms in office. Their party leadership at the Federal and State levels gives us confidence in their ability and commitment to continue to do things right in the party and by extension Nigeria.
“We use this opportunity to call on all sons and daughters of Plateau State, as well as Nigerians across the country, to join this growing development of a united and progressive APC. Under the leadership of Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, our party is building a structure where every member is recognised, valued, and treated equally.
