The Media Data Officer of Operation Hadin Kai, Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, disclosed this in an announcement issued on Friday in Maiduguri.

Uba said that the assaults occurred within the early hours of Friday when terrorists superior in giant numbers in an try and overrun the troops’ areas.

He mentioned, “The primary assault was launched at about 2 a.m. on troops’ positions at Azir Bridge in Sector 2, whereas one other assault was carried out at about 3:40a.m. on the navy base at Banki in Sector 1.
