Kieran Culkin Jokes About Having More Kids With Wife Jazz Charton

“Successionstar Kieran Culkin has never been shy about making his family goals very public, and this awards season is no different. The Oscar winner and his wife Jazz Charton welcomed their third child last fall, according to E! News, but the couple’s baby journey has been anything but ordinary. Now, Culkin is already looking ahead, and his comments are giving fans plenty to talk about.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the 2026 Oscars on March 15, Culkin revealed he is still holding Jazz to the next part of their famous pregnancy pact, as reported by E! News. Per the outlet, the actor was characteristically funny about the whole thing, making clear that having three kids hasn’t dulled his enthusiasm for a fourth child.

When asked about baby number three, Culkin was enthusiastic: “No. 3, he’s beautiful and he’s perfect,” he told Entertainment Tonight, according to E! News. But he was quick to add that fatherhood hasn’t changed his long-standing position on the matter. He noted that when he took the stage at the 2025 Oscars to lobby for a fourth child, Charton was already pregnant with their third. They had found out just before the ceremony.

The running joke about the couple’s baby pact is very much by design. It traces back to the 2024 Emmy Awards, where Culkin struck a deal with Charton during his acceptance speech. She promised him a third child if he won, reasoning at the time that he probably wouldn’t, according to ABC News.

He won. She delivered.

He then upped the ante at the 2025 Oscars, where he publicly reminded Jazz that she had since promised him four children if he ever took home an Academy Award, which he did, winning Best Supporting Actor for “A Real Pain”, as Today reported.

Culkin’s awards run has been nothing short of remarkable. His 2025 Oscar win capped one of the most dominant awards seasons on record. He swept the Golden Globe, the BAFTA, the SAG Award, and the Academy Award, a comprehensive run that signals near-unanimous critical acclaim. Before that, he had already cemented his dramatic credentials, winning the Emmy for his portrayal of Roman Roy in “Succession.”

What makes Culkin’s ongoing baby negotiation so endearing to fans is that it runs directly alongside all of it. During the actors’ strike in 2023, Culkin admitted it had been “lovely” for him personally, giving him an extended stretch at home with his kids that he clearly cherished, according to Movieguide. The throughline across every speech, every red carpet, every interview is the same: the career is great, but the family is the point.

As for whether Jazz will agree to round four? She’s been a good sport about all of it. After the 2025 Oscars speech, she posted on Instagram that “making empty baby pacts may seem foolish but it’s clearly been a great motivator,” as reported by People, leaving the door conspicuously open.

Fans have come to genuinely look forward to whatever Culkin will say next, whether he’s accepting a trophy, presenting one, or just trying to negotiate his household’s headcount in front of a few million people. With a new baby at home and another awards season in the books, it seems safe to say fatherhood suits him.
