Husk Power has won the Technovators Award in the Renewables category at the 2026 Future Energy Leaders Awards Show (FELAS).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that FELAS, regarded as India’s biggest energy sector award platform, held its 2026 edition on March 23, at the Le Méridien, New Delhi, to recognise pioneers in green hydrogen, and renewable energy sustainability.
Aruike said the company received the recognition with gratitude to the organisers for acknowledging Husk power efforts in advancing energy access, boosting local incomes and promoting a greener future in the Global South.
He also dedicated the award to companies that prioritised compliance with global best practices, noting that such commitment to excellence had remained a guiding principle to Husk power since its establishment in 2008.
He expressed optimism that the recognition would inspire emerging companies to adopt similar standards, and prioritise compliance with global best practices.
He stressed that adherence to best practices remained critical to achieving sustainable growth and scalability, particularly in dynamic and unpredictable markets.
”This award reinforces our operational approach, where compliance is integral to our processes.
”This principle has driven our growth, earned trust and guided our expansion from Asia to Africa for nearly two decades,” he said.
The country director added that the company continuously evaluated its operations in pursuit of its vision to provide clean energy solutions to homes, communities, as well as commercial and industrial enterprises.

Aruike added that Husk power would continue to collaborate with development partners to address the 600 million energy deficit in Africa and beyond.
