
The member representing Orhionmwon/Uhunmwonde federal constituency of Edo State at the House of Representatives, Chief Billy Osawaru, has rolled out empowerment program for his constituents, declaring that the initiative is geared to designed to stimulate small-scale businesses and enhance livelihoods.
Chief Osawaru explained that the intervention aligns with his campaign promises and commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy, noting that economic empowerment remains key to sustainable development at the grassroots.
No fewer than 500 individuals benefited from the empowerment which included 100 wheelchairs for Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs), 70 welding machines and 150 sewing machines, 60 motorcycles, 20 mini buses, 20 tricycles, and 65 grinding machines.
The beneficiaries commended the lawmaker for the initiative, describing it as impactful and people-oriented, while urging for its sustainance .
