61 ISWAP Terrorists Neutralised By Troops In Borno

The men and officers of the Nigerian Army (NA) under the Operation Hadin Kai, OPHK has neutralised about 61 members of the ISWAP terrorists in Borno State.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security and counterinsurgency expert made this disclosure on his verified X account and he stated that the operation was a joint effort with the Nigerian Air Force.

He said the success was recorded when the daredevil assailants attempted to infiltrate Malam Fatori, Abadam Local Government Area of Borno on Wednesday morning.

According to the report, the terrorists were advancing on foot, deploying armed drones in a desperate bid to breach the defences of troops at the 68 Battalion location, when they were resisted by the troops.

Quoting military sources, Makama said the integration of air and ground manoeuvre ensured that the terrorists were fixed, targeted and neutralised in large numbers.

Security situation in the state took another turn for the worse recently, with several persons killed by the assailants just as the army has been active in decimating these non-state actors.
