Terrorists have killed a police officer recognized as ASP Godwin Otse alongside Otobi Street in Otukpo Native Authorities Space of Benue State.
In line with experiences on Tuesday, the assault occurred on Sunday whereas the officer was travelling along with his brother.
In line with the brother, their automobile was ambushed at about 5:45 p.m., when armed males opened hearth on them, leaving the officer with deadly gunshot accidents.
A counter-insurgency analyst, Zagazola Makama, who disclosed particulars of the incident on X, mentioned the suspected terrorists had been carrying army camouflage on the time of the assault.
Makama revealed that the incident was reported at about 6:45 p.m. on January 11 by a member of the family of the deceased. He defined that ASP Otse, a Police Particular Constable connected to the Kano State Police Command, was travelling in an ash-coloured Honda Accord when the attackers struck.
“The assailants, believed to be armed terrorists wearing military camouflage, opened hearth on the automobile, fatally wounding ASP Otse,” Makama acknowledged.
The wounded officer was reportedly rushed to the Federal College of Well being Sciences Educating Hospital, Otukpo, the place he was confirmed useless whereas receiving remedy.
His physique was later deposited on the hospital morgue, whereas police recovered his identification card on the scene of the assault.
