No fewer than two individuals have been shot useless following a conflict between rival gangs in Ngo and Unyengala communities in Andoni Native Authorities Space of Rivers State on Monday morning.
Sources stated the conflict was between suspected members of the dreaded militant group, Motion for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, and the Iceland cult.
It was gathered that the conflict, which started on Sunday, rolled over on Monday in what the sources describe as a battle for supremacy and territorial management.
“It began on Sunday night after I heard capturing in Ngo and Unyengala, and other people have been operating to avoid wasting their heads.
“They stated it was Iceland and MEND. Many people ran away, however it was later that we discovered that two individuals have been shot useless,” one of many sources who pleaded anonymity due to the delicate nature of the difficulty stated.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, saying investigation is ongoing.
“Sure, I can verify the incident. Two individuals have been killed, and one other individual was critically injured. It’s linked to a supremacy battle between two rival cult {groups} within the space.
“Safety has been beefed up, and calm has returned to the world. Investigation is ongoing to make sure the culprits are recognized and apprehended,” the state police picture maker acknowledged.
