Three folks have been killed and two others injured after cattle rustlers invaded Mwar group in Chakfem Chiefdom of Mangu Native Authorities Space, Plateau State.
The incident occurred between midnight on Saturday and the early hours of Sunday.
It was learnt that the rustlers, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, and closely armed, efficiently rustled a number of cattle and had been leaving the world once they encountered some Mwaghavul youths.
It was additional reported that, though unprovoked, the cattle rustlers opened hearth on the youths, killing three immediately and wounding two others.
Public Relations Officer of the Mwaghavul Improvement Affiliation, Friday Derwam, confirmed the incident in a phone dialog, stating that opposite to widespread stories, it was not a direct assault, however reasonably a case of cattle rustling.
He mentioned the identities of the rustlers have but to be decided: “It’s troublesome to know the identities of the cattle rustlers as a result of cattle rustling is an organised crime.
All we all know is that these killed had been Mwaghavul youths.
For now, the world is calm.”
Based on him, “The rustlers, after efficiently stealing the cattle, had been leaving once they met some youths on their approach.
Although the youths didn’t problem them, the cattle rustlers opened hearth, killing three and wounding two others.

He added, “It’s troublesome to know exactly who the cattle rustlers are as a result of, as , cattle rustling is an organised enterprise that cuts throughout tribes and faith.”
An eyewitness disclosed that many properties have been abandoned as residents flee for security.
The state of affairs is claimed to be tense, with quite a few group members working away on the time of reporting.
Efforts to achieve Maj Samson Zhakom, Media Officer with Operation Enduring Peace, and Police Public Relations Officer, Alfred Alabo, for affirmation had been unsuccessful, as calls to their telephones weren’t answered.
