Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for together with him among the many 32 newly nominated ambassador-designates.
In a press release posted on his X deal with on Sunday, Fani-Kayode described the nomination as a “nice honour.”
He wrote: “I thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT) for nominating me to be an Ambassador of our nice nation, Nigeria. That is certainly a terrific honour for which I give God the glory. Thanks be to God.”
Politics Nigeria earlier reported that the President forwarded an inventory of 32 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for affirmation, following an earlier batch of three nominees.
The record consists of Fani-Kayode, former INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, former presidential aide Reno Omokri, and former Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, amongst others.
The Presidency, in a press release issued by spokesperson Bayo Onanuga on Saturday, mentioned the nominees are being thought-about for each profession and non-career ambassadorial positions.
