The Taraba State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun preparation for the deliberate defection of Governor Agbu Kefas’ defection from the Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP).
Politics Nigeria gathered that APC leaders within the state have been scheduled to satisfy on Tuesday with some key stakeholders in Taraba to start discussions on a particular date to formally obtain Governor Kefas into the get together.
Talking whereas addressing some newsmen in Jalingo, the Taraba State chairman of the APC, Ibrahim El-Sudi described the governor’s deliberate transfer from PDP to the ruling get together is a divine breakthrough.
In accordance with El-Sudi, the APC can be controlling the state with out the stress of going to the ballot – a quest the get together has had for the previous 13 years.
“We’ve been craving for this for 13 years. God has lastly given us the Taraba Authorities Home with out going to the polls,” El-Sudi mentioned.
He additional said that the get together is planning a grand reception for the governor’s defection which might be attended by President Bola Tinubu and key members of the APC Nationwide Working Committee in Jalingo.
El-Sudi added that some stakeholders and leaders of the get together from the Northeast zone will even be in attendance.
